YouTube Testing HTML5

youtube logo YouTube Now Adds Support for HTML5.

YouTube has rolled out a new player which would be supporting HTML5. HTML5 is a next version of HTML and the video’s can be played with out having been installed the flash player.

This new feature is still been tested and can be accessed via YouTube’s TestTube. HTML5 supports the new standards which supports audio, video, other interact able features like drag and drop.

Currently YouTube’s HTML5 supports Google Chrome , Microsoft Internet Explorer (Chrome Frame should be installed) and Apple Safari v4+

What Is HTML5 ?

This is a new version of HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language), HTML5 aims to reduce the need for proprietary plug-in-based rich Internet application (RIA) technologies such as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Sun JavaFX. Which means no flash player plug in is required by the browser.
